How did this patient hear about The Phoenix at Brooklyn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center? Hospital referral

Details of Experience:
Ms. Kam was admitted to The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on March 4th, 2020 following her stay at Maimonides Medical Center and her left craniotomy surgery on February 25th. She was looking for a skilled team of caring individuals to assist her in a short term rehabilitation and recovery journey and found The Phoenix as her perfect fit.

On the first night of her stay, Ms. Kam met The Phoenix’s talented nursing team and friendly concierge. She has stated that she felt comfortable in the clean bed, knowing that the nursing staff will be caring for her with an enthusiastic attitude and excellent services. Everyone was very understanding and informative as she adjusted to the community.

Ms. Kam was able to meet the extensive multi-departmental staff the next day. She greeted the careful housekeeping team as well as the entertaining recreation staff. The Phoenix Recreation Team put on plenty of exciting programs to keep Ms. Kam busy in her time at The Phoenix. The visit of her daughter, Sally was an especially exciting surprise.

Ms. Kam continued to visit with her daughter virtually through scheduled FaceTime visits per our restricted visitation policy. She enjoys them and she shared that time spent with her daughter, even though virtually, is very important to her and continues to motivate her healing.

With tremendous progress made, Ms. Kam was discharged to live with her son on March 24th. We wish her and her family all the best!
