How did this patient hear about Water’s Edge: Hospital Referral

Details of Experience:
James Ceseretti is a young man who was living at home with his wife. One day, which appeared like any other day, turned out to be a day he would never forget. That day, he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. James spent time in the hospital, where he received chemotherapy treatment. He was having a challenging time thriving following his stay and was recommended to go to a subacute rehabilitation center.

James and his wife decided on Water’s Edge due to its proximity to their home. Upon his admission, Mr. Ceseretti was introduced to his caretakers at Water’s Edge. On his first day, he met with his physical therapist, who would assist him in setting goals that he hoped to meet while he stayed at Water’s Edge. James hoped to transfer from the sitting to standing positions and ambulate safely with a rolling walker. Mr. Ceseretti also hoped to be able to ascend and descend stairs. Overall, James wished to return home with his wife and continue living independently. As per his physical therapist, James had full potential to do just as he wished.

Mr. Ceseretti worked daily with his therapists. Together they worked on transfer training, gait training, as well as stair training. They also worked together on safety techniques to be able to perform when obstacles arrive safely.

After just a few days of working with therapy, James began to thrive. He was just about ready to discharge home, where he would continue with outpatient therapy. James’ progress while he was at Water’s Edge was awesome. He went from needing maximum assistance to requiring someone to stand by.
James returned home with his wife, and he was thrilled and forever grateful.

Team Edge wishes him nothing less than a happy and healthy future!
