Details of Experience:

Ms. Allen was admitted from St Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus to Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing on January 13, 2017. Her admitting diagnosis was Osteoarthritis of the left knee. She underwent a left total knee replacement on January 10, 2017 by Orthopedic Physician, Dr Joseph. Prior to her surgery she was having great knee pain and difficulty with walking. Once Ms. Allen was admitted to Oasis, she was evaluated by the therapy team who created a therapy program that would meet her needs. Ms. Allen was anxious about coming to a short term rehabilitation center for therapy. The staff at Oasis were able to ease her concerns during her stay. By the end of Ms. Allen’s stay, she was pleased with her outcome and the therapy that she received.

Ms. Allen attended both physical therapy and occupational therapy daily during her stay with us in our community. Ms. Allen did state that each day between her therapy sessions and the use of the CPM machine she became stronger and stronger. Ms. Allen did express in her follow up that she was very pleased with all the services that she received while she was here. She was also very pleased with the attending physician she had while she was here. She is even thinking about changing her physician to Dr. Frank Rich due to the rapport they have built!

Ms. Allen shared that she would recommend Oasis Center for Rehabilitation and Healing to others who would be looking for a skilled nursing center!
