Details of Experience:
Patient came to Platinum Ridge for therapy and rehabilitation after she had a fall. She was as determined as ever to complete her therapy as quickly and safely as she could. Upon admission, this patient had some difficulty being stable on her feet and walking was a very hard task. She was always monitored and needed help with transferring. This made her frustrated because she was used to always doing some sort of work and being busy, which was understandable once we knew that this patient worked as a nurse. Day after day she pushed herself harder and harder while in therapy to reach her goal of being able to walk again with few difficulties. Towards the end of her stay, she improved from needing help with transferring to becoming fully independent with transferring and needing minimal help. This patient never let her struggle get in the way of her positive spirit that was so infectious to everyone she met. She left the facility on August 29 stating she was going to miss each and every staff member that helped with her care. Also stating that, “she never had this much attention in my life.” Platinum Ridge was proud to have her as a resident.
