Details of Experience:

Ms. Ingram was admitted to The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center after staying at Brooklyn Hospital.

Ms. Ingram has a history of falling many times in the past. By the time she arrived at our facility, she was refusing everything, because she was afraid that she was going to fall again. Our therapist had tried many times to motivate her, letting her know we are here to support her, helping her to feel better and will make her stronger. She finally decided to give it a try. That’s how she started her 5 days of PT and OT.

After the helped from our PT and OT, she finally overcome her fear of falling again. Our therapist helped her to rebuild her strength and then she started to practice on the walker and practice on the parallel bars. After she was comfortable with the walker, she then upgraded to the rollator. After she got used to the rollator, her therapist let her practice with a rollator on a regular street (just to ensure she’s ready when she goes home).
