How did this patient hear about The Riverside? From brother who is a Social Worker

Details of Experience:
Patient was admitted to The Riverside on November 11, 2015. Patient had jaw surgery many years ago that went bad and he got a severe infection in his heart called Endocarditis. This caused him to have major heart problems which led him to receive a pacemaker. Patient was admitted to Bellevue Hospital complaining of severe chest pains which led him to have aortic valve replacement.
When the Patient was ready for discharge, the Social Worker gave him a list of rehab centers where he would be able to get the medications he needs as well as rehab. Patient said he had no preference and had asked his brother who is a SW to help him narrow down the choices. After narrowing it down to a few choices, Patient decided to just pick up the phone and call all the facilities and see how they answer on the phone and that will be the deciding factor. Patient said he called all the facilities and he was brushed off by all except one, The Riverside answered the phone with the Care Rite signature phone etiquette, “Hello it’s a beautiful day at The Riverside…” Once the Patient heard that, he said he was sold but in addition to that the staff member that answered the phone gave him the time of day and answered all his questions in a very pleasant manner.
Once the Patient arrived to The Riverside, he was assessed and evaluated by all our team members and put on to a rehab schedule as well as getting all his meds in proper order. As Patient said, “In the beginning I thought it was just about getting my meds and it was great but it turned out to be a lot more than that. I got to know the people here and I got to bond with them, the staff is extremely friendly, it feels like a family now. As a matter of fact, when I leave here I will feel very bad because I am leaving family.”
Patient says he is feeling much better and looking forward to going home but his stay at The Riverside will always be “Memorable.”
