How did this patient hear about The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation & Nursing Center? Lives Locally

Mr. Artie Frank was a resident at The Chateau at Brooklyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for a few weeks. He was welcomed into The Chateau after having a total knee replacement and being informed by his doctor that the best thing for his recovery would be to acquire therapy services before going back home again. Since he lived close to The Chateau and had heard great things from his friends about us, he decided to try out The Chateau and was happy to have made that decision.

When Artie was admitted to The Chateau, he was in much pain, but was motivated to get back to his normal independent life. Prior to the surgery, Artie was able to walk and get around by himself; however, everything that he did caused him a lot of pain and he was not happy to live that way. After talking to his doctor, they decided replacing his knee would be the best idea and if he participated well in rehab, he would be able to do everything he enjoyed without any pain. The doctor completed the surgery and wanted him to take his time with therapy to regain all the muscle strength he would need to get up and out again.

While staying at The Chateau, Artie was very happy to be receiving his therapy and also had a wonderful time while out of the gym. He made many friends and was always seen on the floors socializing with the other residents. He enjoyed spending time on the outside patio and getting involved with the recreation department’s activities as well. When he was in the gym, he worked diligently with his therapist and was seeing small progress every day. After a few weeks, he was up and walking with a cane and was starting to see that his pain levels were going down and he would be on his way soon.

Prior to his discharge home, Artie sat and spoke to the staff at The Chateau and let them know about how much he enjoyed his stay. He was so thankful for the way the staff took care of him and was ecstatic to be walking again with less pain all while on his way to complete independence. The team was happy for him and wanted him to know that if he ever needed anything, he is always welcomed to come back and talk to the staff. We wish Artie only the best and hope that he keeps his positive energy going!
