How did this patient hear about Jupiter Rehabilitation? A case manager from Palm Beach Gardens Hospital

Details of experience:
Isabelle’s story starts the week of Christmas, that’s when she had her first fall. She was sitting on the couch enjoying the day, getting ready to enjoy the holidays with her family, and the next thing she knew she was on the floor. Thankfully Isabelle was okay and didn’t need to go to the hospital. A week later Isabelle was sitting in the living room in her favorite chair, and she slid off the chair and fell onto the floor. This was her second fall in a week, after this fall she started experiencing hip pain. The pain got so bad that she had to transport to the ER, thinking it could be something more serious after her fall.

Isabelle was taken to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital on December 29, 2020. She was admitted and they took x-rays, performed a CAT scan and an MRI. She was very fortunate, that she did not have any fractures in her left hip and did not need surgery!

Isabelle arrived at Jupiter Rehab on January 1st, 2021. When she arrived, she needed substantial help for mobility and activities of daily living. She was very excited to start her therapy sessions when she arrived, she was very motivated. After a couple of weeks of therapy and hard work, Isabelle was able to perform ambulation, transfers, and mobility at a supervision level.

Isabelle truly enjoyed her stay, she was always happy and loved the staff, and was always saying how nice everyone is. She became friends with her roommate, Michelle, and they were always laughing and having a good time. We were sad to see her go, she was such a bright person, but the team is very happy that she was able to go back home!

Team Jupiter misses her and wishes her all the best!
