The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
“The facility has great administrative staff; the nursing staff is outstanding. They are very committed to every resident’s needs. The therapy department is committed to healing and they are aware of patient needs. The food is nourishing, especially the soups. The concierge is very devoted to his job. The activities are stimulating through song and strive for total participation.” – Bill B.The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset
“I have been a patient at The Hamlet since August 1, 2018, and I would like to share my experience thus far: The housekeeping is very good… [they] do an exceptional job. I like that the housekeepers are courteous and always ask before entering, ‘Can I come in to clean your room?’ With regard to rehabilitation, the therapists are caring, motivating, and professional. They really want you to get home as soon as possible. They ask questions during therapy to make sure you are working at a good pace. The nursing staff is excellent. They are very concerned about your pain. It’s important to them that you are comfortable; the aides are just wonderful. They come as soon as they can, and they help you to get better real soon. They make you feel like it is ‘almost home.’ When I was asked how satisfied I am so far with my stay at The Hamlet, I said, ‘If 10 is the best, I would say an 11.’ If anyone was looking for a great rehab facility, I would be more than happy to recommend The Hamlet because they really do care.”Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center

“I have been a patient at The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset for the past four weeks, and I would highly recommend it. The therapy team knew exactly what I needed in order to get back home. They asked the right questions and made me comfortable. As a retired registered nurse, I’m very familiar with how things should work in a skilled nursing facility. The nursing staff was kind and caring. My aide, Keith, had a lot of patience and compassion for his patients. I liked the array of programs offered by Therapeutic Recreation. I was particularly happy to attend poker, musical entertainment, mass, and other religious programs. The ladies in the salon gave me a great haircut, and they did a wonderful job on my nails as well. The pain management doctor was excellent. He addressed my questions and met my needs. I never felt rushed when the doctor came in. If you are looking for a positive rehabilitation experience, I would strongly suggest you go and take a tour, and see for yourself. The staff at The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset really went the extra mile to make my stay such a successful one.” – Ann R.Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing
“On Christmas day I went to the ER not feeling well. After hours of waiting, I was informed I had the flu. They immediately transported me to the ICU to be treated. I stayed in the hospital for a total of six weeks, where I was in a coma for five of those weeks. Later, I found out I also had pneumonia. I was then transported over to Bethany Center unable to walk or have the ability to move without assistance. I’ve been here for almost a month and have come a long way from when I first came through the building. I am slowly gaining my movement back in both legs and can wheel myself up and down the halls. I can walk short distances without assistance and I’m happy to say I have met a friend on this journey. I’m happy to be going home to my family and friends.” – M. I am walking without huffing and puffing, and I was able to walk from The Riverside to Starbucks with a therapist. They all did such an amazing job; I feel like a completely different person”The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset
“I was a resident at The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset for the past three weeks, and I am so glad I chose this community. When asked if I would recommend The Hamlet, I replied, ‘I would recommend it in a minute. I will be back for my other hip replacement as soon as I am able.’ This place is a country club to me. I am able to walk out of here because of the knowledgeable and caring staff in PT and OT.
The nurses and aides were fantastic. The concierge came in regularly to see if I needed anything. Recreation was always there to invite me to the many programs they offered. I was so glad to be able to attend Mass. Everyone’s services were perfect. I can’t think of a thing that they could do to improve the place. As far as a rating, I would have to say my experience was definitely a 10.
I look forward to seeing everyone again after my next surgery.” – Ronald Z.
